Observation and Reflection from a Typhoon

I am very happy to have a day off when typhoon vincente lashed the territory towards the end of July. When I hear the news and weather report, I am so excited because the day I need to go to school for the tutorial class. I stay at home watch about typhoon’s news, I saw many trees had destroy by the strong wind on the passenger road.

Although I have an extra holiday, some people still need to work, like the news reporters, they are so danger to cover all the news for the citizen. When Hong Kong observatory declare typhoon signal number 10 on the radio and television, all the traffic transport are stop to run. I hear the wind sound very clear, it is so terrible. Airplane, ferry and some buses are stop, most of people cannot back home. It affect a lot of people, so the typhoon day is not a lucky day for someone.

After the typhoon vincente, it is a serious affection to Hong Kong. Thanks to the wind was very strong, it make a big boat puff lots of colloidal particles into the sea. Also the seawater put these on the beach, colloidal particles is make of plastic, which may be an effect to pur health, so these day have many volunteered to help with the clearing of the colloidal particles.

I think Hong Kong people love Hong Kong so much because Hong Kong is our hometown, so you and me must be a volunteer to clean the beach and tidy up all the colloidal particles. Let’s go!

Cooking, Food and Love

I like cooking very much, I think cooking is fun and the cooker should be creative, so I am not a good cooker now.

I haven't cooked for my family but I have cooked for my friends. I made some small cupcakes to celebrate my friend 's birthday ,she was surprised why i can made the cake for her because everyone knows I am not good at cooking , so she was very happy. Cupcake is the most easy dessert which I made before. Cupcakes have many flavor, you can choose your love one. For example, vanilla, chocolate, green tea, etc. You should be careful on the cooking time, if the time over the expect time, the cakes would be 'black'. It is not good for health when you eat it and the cakes' s outlook not beautiful. The difficult part of making is the decoration part. You can free style make it, but sometimes you have no idea to design. So I think that is the difficult and challenge part.

Ice-cream is my beloved dessert. I like vanilla flavor, it taste like milk, it sweets, it soft. In the hot summer, ice-cream is the wonderful food for everyone. It can make me cooler, but at the same time, eat too much ice-cream which can make me be a fat girl too.

When you feel sad, i introduce ice-cream for you. some speacialist said eat dessert can make people relax and be more happier, so ice-cream is your good choice maybe.

 Cooking and sharing food together are good ways to make people closest. Anyway, a good communication is very important, we should keep it with each other.

My Learning Experience - Joy and Challenges

We will take the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary School Education Examination (HKDSE) next March . I feel awfully nervous on it .

On my academic career , i met a load of teachers and schoolmates , they teach me a lot of things . Even sometimes i feel pressured on my study , they made me relax and happy . My mum always murmur me , she cares about all of my study . I think i should got the good result then she would not punish me again .At the moment , i should study harder than before because i just have eight months for me to revision , but some subjects are more difficulty, like the English Language and Mathematics , I don't know how to improve it so i must pay attention in the lesson . In fect , i know i am a lazy student ,  i hope i can study with my friends , when i have some problems ,they would help me to understand . HKDSE is a important exam, it is our first public examination ,and it will affect to my future .

Today , i will do more exercises and always check the dictionary when i do not know the meaning. I discovered that study should remember somethings then you will easy to learn it . I accept all of my study challenges and i promise i will try my best to slove it . I hope you guys can be the best too...

My First Encounter with African Culture - Music and Dance

            On the 27th June 2012, it is my school examination activities 's day .It is a hot day for us because we all F5 students should have the African Drum Session in the cover playground. 

             Our teachers invite a African to come out to teach students how to use the drums to follow the beat and moving according to some rhythm. He also sing some songs with us and play the drums. Sometimes a part of students play the drums, sometimes students sing the rhythm, it is so fun.

I am surprise to see the Principal , Ms Sister Cheung to join us, she looks very happy and joyful. She lead everybody move on ! Suddenly, my schoolmates have been invited by the 'African' to stand at the 'stage' , we should follow that guy's rhythm to play the drums, I feel nervous cause I do not want to stand at there and face to Everybody.

It is a good memory and experience for me ,I haven't play the drums before with the real Africans and I love music so much . I have learnt some African Culture that’s I didn't know .Before the activity, i think this is a boring function but it is contrarious.

 
            African Drum is a special musical instrument , a load of students were enjoy it . i can hear the band sounds and laugh sounds so i think they are love it very much. This activity is so cool for us!
